Prayer
Please pray
- that God would raise up pastors, teachers, and ministry leaders who are trained in “the pattern of sound words” in Kenya and the surrounding countries (see The Need section of the mission description);
- that the Holy Spirit would guide Philip in preparing a rich, helpful, edifying, and God-honoring syllabus on Ezekiel;
- that the Holy Spirit would open additional ministry opportunities for Rebekah in Nairobi;
- that God would provide the funding for the mission;
- that God would enable Philip and Rebekah
to buy plane tickets,renew his passport,obtain immunizationsand a Kenyan visa, and take care of other planning considerations in advance and in a cost-efficient way; - that God would bless and protect David Galletta in his travels and preparations (see the Background section of the mission description); and
that Philip and Rebekah would be able to finish the spring semester at Westminster Theological Seminary well.

Resources and Advice
Philip is currently developing the syllabus for a course on the introduction to and interpretation of the book of Ezekiel. If you would like to provide a copy of an excellent commentary for him to take to the book room of the Common Ground Theological Institute, see this blog post. If you have any other resources, devotional insights, or syllabus-design advice, he would be grateful and glad to hear from you. You can comment below any of his blog posts, connect with him through the social media links on the bottom of page, or send a message through a contact form.

Fundraising

Philip and Rebekah are both full-time M.Div. students at Westminster Theological Seminary. They have received excellent scholarships to make their education affordable, but being full-time graduate students translates to their having a relatively low household income from two part-time jobs. In short, they are not able to pay for the trip out of pocket. Believing that the Lord has given them this humble mission, they also believe that the Lord will provide richly for it.
Ways to Contribute Financially
If you are able and willing to give financial support, there are two ways to do it:
- Direct Check
- Write a check to Philip and send to his home address (and contact him if you need his address).
- Tax-Deductible Check
- Write a check payable to Christ Presbyterian Church.
- Include in the memo line For Missions to Kenya. (If you do not do this step, then the check will go into the general fund and will not be allocated toward the mission to Nairobi.)
- Include your name and address—presumably it is on the check—in order to have a receipt mailed to you for your records.
- Mail it to
